-Keyboarding 1A
-Algebra 1A or higher

You are required to take the following class:
-Career Exploration Project (12th grade class)

Plus four or more classes from the following:
-Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) A
-Coputer Assisted Drafting (CAD) B - Advanced
-Drafting IB - Mechanical
-Drafting IIA - Architectural
-ROP CAD Drafting
-ROP Interior Design

*Internship (75.5 hours) is available for this career path major and is equal to one class.

This career path at Valencia High School gives students a chance to excel and be in constant progress to reach a goal in their future career. I have had the opportunity to be in a program which has allowed me to make certain that I want to follow a career dealing with CAD or designing. It is thanks to this program that I have been able to actually participate in a real life experience and gain knowledge by having an internship at PSOMAS Engineering. this career path allows students to interact with other students with the same interests and similar goals.

  The career path at Valencia High School has helped me set goals for my future. It has taught me organization, work ethics, and how to work well with other people. Mrs. Wilson has created a work environment that models what it would be like to work in the actual field of drafting. I would definitely recommend taking the career path in drafting at Valencia High School.

   I have this class because i though it would be easy. Then I found that it was very challenging. I then decided to pursue it further and made it my career path. Not only has this class given me a place to go and learn, but it has also been fun. Mrs. Wilson has been teaching me information that I can and most likely will use in 'The Real World.' i would recommend this career path to anyone that would like to have a challenge and learn something that can help him or her get a good job.
