American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization led by
volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter. The
Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross
Movement will provide relief to victims of disaster and help
people be prepared for natural disasters.

Breast Cancer Awareness Club

The purpose of this club is to educate Valencia High
School students about breast cancer, and raise money
towards breast cancer treatment and facilities. All profits

California Scholarhsip Federation (CSF)

The California Scholarship Federation (CSF) emphasizes
high standards of service, scholarship, and citizenship for
California high school students. CSF encourages service
to the school and community while fostering pride in
scholastic achievement. Qualifying for membership is on
a semester basis following a point system that requires A's
and B's in the most difficult classes. To become a lifetime
member (Seal bearer) students must have qualified for
four semesters during their last three years of high school,
including one semester in the senior year. At graduation
lifetime members receive a special seal on their diploma,
a certificate, pin and gold cords to be worn at the
ceremony.


 

C.A.R.E. (Crafts And Restoring Environment)

C.A.R.E. makes crafts and sells them. The purpose of the
club is to donate all earnings from craft sales to a nonprofit
charity.

 

Children’s Book Guild

CBG is an organization designed to support students
interested in careers involved with writing, illustrating, and
publishing children’s books. This club will create books,
join competitions, and most importantly, help students

Circle of Friends

The purpose of “Circle of Friends” is to establish an
environment of inclusion for young adults. In Circle of
Friends, students with disabilities are supported by
established groups of peers who are socially competent,
offering many opportunities to form genuine friendships
that can last a lifetime. Circle of Friends builds an inclusive
campus climate that welcomes and values all students.

 

CSF (California Scholastic Federation)

CSF is a California honor society based on courses taken and grades received. Membership is renewed each semester. Students may apply for the first time in the spring of their freshman year, and each subsequent semester of high school in which they meet the qualifications.

Children’s Cancer Society

CCS is an organization that holds fundraisers to help benefit
children with cancer. This club donates all profits from
fundraising to a local cancer hospital’s children wing. All
students are welcome to join.

The purpose of the Cycling club is to promote a healthy
lifestyle via cycling, as well as promote alternative means of

DECA

DECA, a national association of marketing education students, provides teachers and members with educational and leadership development activities to merge with education classroom instructional programs. DECA chapters attract sstudents who are interested in preparing for entrepreneurial, marketing or management careers. While DECA membership consists primarily of students in marketing programs, membership also extends to alumni and to professional in marketing education and in marketing teacher education. Working hand-in-hand with the education and business communities, DECA's goal is for its student members to develop a "career success kit" to carry into their busniess and personal lives after graduation.

 

Drama Club

The Drama Club is an organization of students dedicated
to theatrical arts. The club welcomes any student
interested in joining. Students explore opportunities to
perform, build sets, run props, manage lighting and sound,
and participate in theater production promotions. The
Drama Club sponsors two main stage plays and one
Backstage Cabaret Variety Show each school year. Each
month students also gather for a social activity to create
friendships and lasting bonds.

of the Interscholastic Equestrian League of Los Angeles;

ICU is a student-led club at VHS whose main goals are to
bring awareness and to assist physically, financially,
emotionally and spiritually to those in crisis in Northern
Uganda, Africa where hundreds of thousands of people have
been displaced and terrorized by the Lord's Resistance
Army for more than 20 years.

Model United Nations gives students the opportunity to
explore the world of international politics and diplomacy.
This club provides students with information regarding the
inner workings of the United Nations as well as

National Art Honor Society (NAHS)

Requirements: Students must be a sophomore, junior, or senior, and taking an art class with a 3.0 GPA. Qualifying seniors wear a National Art Honor Society cord at graduation.

We are a diverse group of creative people with individualized, artistic styles. In the past, our group has made a commitment to help others by designing and teaching activities to younger and/or special needs students, street painting, face painting and mask making booths at the Newhall Festival. N.A.H.S. provides opportunities for student work to be appreciated and acknowledged publicly by creating shows within the business community. Learning about contemporary and traditional artists and other cultures is an important part of our program. We invite college representatives to visit and share their programs to help us understand different career paths in art, to critique our personal artwork and help us better prepare for college. Most importantly, we provide camaraderie and share our personal growth as developing artists.

The National Honor Society (NHS) is the nations premier
organizations established to recognize outstanding high
school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves
to honor those students who have demonstrated
excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership,
Service, and Character. These characteristics have been
associated with membership in the organization since
their beginnings in 1921 and 1929. This organization is
available to 10th -12th grade students with a 3.5 GPA,
teacher recommendations and community service.

Smile organization. The volunteers of the Operation
Smile organization provide safe, effective, and free cleft
