What is Gold Robe and how do I get one?

The Honors Gold Robe list is made up of students who have achieved a cumulative 4.0 weighted GPA as of their 7th semester of high school. These students will wear a gold cap & gown for commencement ceremonies (students with a 3.99 or lower GPA wear a purple cap & gown). If you are on the Gold Robe list, you do not need to make a special order for your cap & gown. VHS will notify Jostens if you should receive a gold robe.

How do I order my cap & gown?

If you have not ordered your cap and gown for graduation, you can order it here on the Jostens website.

When will I receive my cap & gown?

Seniors will pick up their cap & gown about a week prior to the ceremony. They are worn for the class panorama picture immediately following cap and gown distribution. Every effort should be made to have your gown neatly pressed before it is worn during the ceremony.

When will I receive my tickets?

Tickets to the ceremony are distributed at the graduation ceremony practice. Tickets will only be given to seniors who have cleared all financial obligations. Students are encouraged to verify with the Library and ASB office that they do not owe any debts that would prohibit them from receiving tickets.

How do I request handicapped seating?

If someone in your family needs handicapped seating, please submit a written request to the Assistant Principal's office. One escort will be allowed to accompany each handicapped person in the handicapped seating area. Requests for handicapped seating must be made by 2pm on May 3,2023. Handicap seating tickets will be given in place of the regular seating tickets. Please email Ms. Mercer at [email protected] to make your request or for more information.

Where will I be seated during the ceremony?

Seating assignments will be posted outside of the Assistant Principal's office in the week preceding graduation.

Where will I pick up my diploma?

Graduates will only receive the cover of their diploma during the ceremony. The actual diploma will be distributed at a later date at VHS (further details will be shared at a later date). Parents cannot pick up diplomas and they will not be mailed. If you do not pick up your diploma on the designated date diplomas will be available to be picked up at the VHS Administration Office.
