Viking Foundation

Dear Viking Families,

As you already know, Valencia High School is not only an academic and athletic powerhouse, but is also a safe and healthy place for your children to attend school. Our students are among the highest achieving students, not only in the Wm. S. Hart Union School District, but also in the county of Los Angeles and the State of California.  Seventy-five percent of Valencia students who took an AP test in 2016 passed it, a higher rate than at any Hart District school. The award-winning Medical Science Academy has doubled in size since its inception, preparing students for post-secondary education in the health sciences field while supporting our Viking athletes through the Sports Medicine program. Our athletic teams are unparalleled, boasting multiple league, division, and state titles on a regular basis.  The Pride of the Vikings Marching Band and Color Guard are consistently among the top in the state.  Our Nanoscience and  ROTC students support the local community via outreach into elementary schools.  Special Education and general education students alike enjoy being a part of the largest Circle of Friends chapter in Santa Clarita. With over one hundred clubs, programs, and student-led groups on campus, Valencia High School has a place for every Viking.

In an effort to maintain the successful programs your sons and daughters deserve,  and to give alumni and current families the opportunity to support those programs, we have created the Viking Foundation to serve the diverse student population of Valencia High School for years to come.  The mission of the Viking Foundation is to bring together parents, administrators, teachers, students, and community members with a common goal -- continuing to provide a world class education for all Valencia High School students. The Viking Foundation is a California non-profit public benefit corporation (501 (c)(3)) organized for charitable and public purposes to raise funds for the benefit of educational and academic enrichment programs at Valencia High School.

Current plans include, but are not limited to:

  • Visually supporting the diverse populations on campus via changes to current branding at Valencia High
  • Supplementing academic programs (i.e. science labs) that are usually dependent upon lab fees
  • Providing SAT / PSAT preparation courses and college presentations at minimal to no cost for underrepresented

students

  • Aesthetic improvements to the campus gym and other highly-visible campus buildings

Our goal for this year is to raise $30,000 which equates to a donation of only $10 per student at Valencia High School.  Additionally, sponsorship opportunities are available to business owners; more information is available online.

Additionally, donations in the form of a check made out to
