MAGIC MOUNTAIN VOLUNTEER FUNDRAISING GUIDELINES BREAKS: Each Volunteer will be given two ten-minute breaks and one 30-minute meal break per their 8 hour shift. The location Supervisor will designate the break and meal times. Volunteers should never leave the assigned work location unless given permission by the Supervisor or the person in charge of their specific work location. For your convenience, our Employee Cafeteria, Oasis is available for volunteers to purchase food. Hot and cold entrees are served at a discounted rate. While on break, Volunteers are allowed to smoke in designated break areas or outside the Employee Cafeteria out of the view of Park guests. While on break volunteers should not eat or drink, chew tobacco or gum while walking through the Park or in the view of any Guest. Volunteers should not purchase food or drinks from park facilities other than the Oasis while on park property as a volunteer. Volunteers may not ride rides, play games, or buy merchandise while on break. COMP TICKETS: Each volunteer will receive a complementary ticket to Magic Mountain for working an 8 ½-hour shift. The tickets will be given to the group leader at the end of the work shift. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be sold to any other party. REPORT TIME: Groups should allow an extra 15 minutes of traveling time to park in the employee parking lot and walk to the Games Office to report and sign in. All Volunteers should report as a group. Anyone reporting to work after the group has been taken into the Park will not be allowed to work. This is to alleviate stragglers and for Security reasons. WARDROBE: Volunteers must wear clean, black or white leather type tennis shoes or black closed toe shoes. Shoes must have good tread on bottom. No boots, sandals, heels or dress shoes. Volunteers should wear neat looking, khaki or dark-colored jeans or slacks. No shorts allowed and pants must be worn at the waste, not be baggy or dragging on the ground. Volunteers should wear a solid colored shirt, preferably white. No tank tops or midriffs, please. Shirts with writing or logos are not allowed. No low-cut or see through shirts/blouses. Males: Men's hair should be neatly groomed; shaved heads or extreme styles will not be permitted. Hair that extends past the top of a shirt collar is not permitted. Moustaches are allowed, but must not extend over the corner of the lips. No beards or earrings, please. Females: Women's hair should be neatly groomed and cosmetics should be of a natural, conservative look. Long hair should be tied back away from the face. Tattoos/Jewelry: No visible tattoos are allowed. No more than one ring per hand may be worn at a time. One wristwatch may be worn. Males are not permitted to wear earrings. Females are limited to one post style earring per ear in the lower lobe. No visible necklaces are permitted. No other body jewelry is permitted. *** Six Flags Magic Mountain has the right to refuse a Volunteer to work if they are not properly dressed/groomed. Please address grooming guidelines/issues with each volunteer prior to arrival at Six Flags Magic Mountain. WORK GUIDELINES: Every Volunteer must work the entire scheduled shift unless illness or some other unforeseen situation dictates otherwise. Members may not come in and work half of a shift and have another member come in to finish the shift. Any member of the group arriving after the group has been sent into the Park will not be allowed to work. Volunteers must always be courteous and helpful to our Guests, Employees, Managers, and Supervisors. If a Volunteer is unable to answer a Guest's question, they should refer the Guest to a regular Host or Hostess or Park Supervisor so that the Guest may obtain the information they need. Volunteers should eat only at the Employee Cafeteria. Hot and cold entrees are served at a discounted rate. Volunteers should not eat, drink, chew gum or tobacco while on duty, walking through the Park or in the view of a Guest. Volunteers may not ride any ride, play any games of skill, use the arcades, win prizes, or purchase merchandise while on park property as a volunteer. Profanity is not allowed. Six Flags is not responsible for lost or stolen personal belongings. In case of low attendance, each group will be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours per Volunteer. The regular work schedule will be void. Only the group members that are working are allowed to enter the Park through the employee entrance. Any additional Guests that wish to come to the Park with the Volunteer Group must purchase a ticket and enter and exit through the Main Gate. If all guidelines are not complied with, the volunteer forfeits their right to continue their volunteer work. Payment will cease at the time the volunteer is released from the location. The group leader/sponsor will be notified and that volunteer will not be allowed to return in the future. Please review all guidelines with each volunteer prior to your group’s arrival at Six Flags Magic Mountain. It is the group leader/sponsor’s responsibility to ensure 100% compliance.
MINOR'S RELEASE FORM TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE We, the parents/legal guardian, realize that a job incurred injury/illness may occur while volunteering at Six Flags Magic Mountain. We realize that such injury/illness may require diagnosis, emergency medical and/or surgical treatment, and x-rays as may be required by the contracting physicians of Six Flags Magic Mountain, their assistants, or their designees as it is deemed necessary in their judgment upon the volunteer minor named below. We also authorize Six Flags Magic Mountain and the treatment facility involved to furnish any insurance company and/or its representatives, copies of hospital or medical records pertaining to the minor named below. We understand that Six Flags Magic Mountain is not responsible for accidental injury/illness and that at temporary employee is not covered by Worker's Compensation.
