MANUEL WHITE '00
Manuel was a three-year starter at RB for Valencia. He was the 1st freshman ever to play in a varsity game for Valencia (a 130 yd. rushing performance vs. Burroughs). Manuel is known for putting Valencia Football on the map with his spectacular rushing totals. He is 1st all-time in career rushing for the Greater San Fernando Valley area, breaking former Notre Dame HS,

USC and current Oakland Raider tailback, Justin Fargas' record. He is also 4th all-time in California state history for career rushing yards at 6,746.

UCLA — This redshirt junior has demonstrated the ability to have a profound impact on a football game … Manuel is a powerful runner who can play either running back position … He enjoyed a tremendous Spring Practice and figures to play a key role in UCLA’s offensive success … He possesses the ability to break tackles and the size and strength to get the tough inside yards … He also catches the ball well out of the backfield.

2002 — White appeared in nine games … Started the first four games of the season at fullback … He started the Oregon State game at tailback but was injured in the first quarter … Finished second on the team in rushing with 381 yards on 85 carries and five touchdowns … Ranked fourth on the team in receiving with 17 catches for 238 yards and two touchdowns … Against Colorado State, he scored twice in the fourth quarter on 16-yard runs to clinch the Bruin victory … Rushed for 52 yards in the game on 11 carries and caught four balls for 27 yards … At Oklahoma State, he ran for 67 yards on 17 carries and also made two receptions for 40 yards … In the Colorado game, he led the Bruins with 36 yards on six attempts and also made one reception for 11 yards … At San Diego State, he gained 76 yards on 14 attempts and his 30-yard run was the longest of his career … At Oregon State, he started in UCLA’s one-back formation and gained seven yards on five attempts before suffering a strained left hamstring midway through the first quarter … He also made one catch for 28 yards … Did not suit up against Oregon, Cal, Stanford and Washington due to the injury … Returned to action in the game at Arizona, seeing time at both fullback and tailback, and rushed for 27 yards and one touchdown on eight attempts … Against USC, he scored two touchdowns while rushing for 45 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown, on seven carries … Also made five receptions for 56 yards, including a 10-yard touchdown … In the regular-season finale against Washington State, he led the Bruins with 48 rushing yards on eight attempts and also made two receptions for 58 yards, including a 55-yard first-quarter touchdown … Had 23 yards rushing on nine carries and 18 yards on two pass receptions in the bowl game win over New Mexico … Named the winner of the George Dickerson Award for Outstanding Offensive Player against USC.

2001 — White saw action in all 11 games as a redshirt freshman … He ranked third on the team in rushing with 290 yards and three touchdowns on 63 attempts … He made his debut against Alabama, carrying four times for no yards … He was the team’s No. 2 rusher versus Kansas, carrying nine times for 44 net yards … He did not have a rushing attempt in three plays versus Ohio State … At Oregon State, White made two receptions for 50 yards (including a 41-yard catch) and carried the ball eight times for 38 yards to produce four first downs … Against Washington, he carried four times for 36 yards and added 35 yards on five carries in the win over California … He did not see action in the backfield at Stanford or Washington State … Against Oregon, he carried seven times for 29 yards, including his first career touchdown, a one-yard run that gave UCLA a 20-14 lead … At USC, he made the first start of his career and gained a team-high 23 yards on nine carries … Against Arizona State, he rushed for a career-high 85 yards and two touchdowns on 17 attempts … He also recorded six tackles (five solos) on the season as a valuable member of most of the Bruin special teams units.

2000 — He did not appear in a game during his first year with the program and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
