Vikings senior forward Starla Wright was a first team selection in Division IIAA. Wright averaged 17.1 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. Congrats to Starla on her accomplishments.
Starla and former Viking standout Chelsey Hasitgan will be playing for Cal Lutheran next season...Congrats to both Vikings as they have reached the next level in thier basketball careers.
The Lady Vikings had 5 players make all league. Congrats to the following Vikes:

The Lady Vikings finished the season with a 22-7 record. The 22 wins were the most in team history. Congratulations Varsity girls on a wonderful season.

The Lady Vikings have made it to the CIF Quarter Finals for the third time in five years as they travel to Brea Olinda on Wednesday and try to advance to the Simi finals.
On Saturday they defeated Valencia of Placentia, 68-57. Leading the way was Starla Wright, 18 points and 12 rebounds and Jenny Lentz, 17 points and 8 rebounds. In addition to Wright and Lentz, Lindsey contributed 10 assists and Lauren Spargo secured 8 rebounds.

CIF Playoffs Round 2- Saturday, 7:30@ VHS vs. Valencia (Placentia)
Last Night the Vikings opened up the 2009 CIF playoffs at home versus Pioneer Valley. They defeated the Panthers 63-40. Leading the Lady Vikings was Starla Wright, 17 points and 17 points. Lindsey Hill and Lentz both contributed 18 and 15 points respectively. Next up for the Lady Vikes are their counterparts from Placentia as they host Valencia at 7:30. Come out and support our Lady Vikings as they try to make the quarterfinals for the third time in team history.

This will be the final league game of the season for the Lady Vikings. The Lady Vikings will have the opportunity to secure a league championship with a victory.
Speaking of league championships, congrats to the freshman team as they captured a league title. They went undefeated in league and finished the season with an amazing 20-2 record. Good job Coach Barlam for leading the freshman to the title...Freshman girls what an amazing job you did with only having 7 players most of the season.

Last night the Lady Vikings came up huge in the 4th quarter as they went on a 15-7 run to close out the game, 62-53 over Hart.
Lindsey Hill hit a key three pointer, and combined with Jenny Lentz and Starla Wright to score 17 of 23 points in the 4th quarter.
The Lady Vikings host West Ranch on Friday in the last league home game of the season. This is senior night so come out and support our departing seniors. Starla Wright, Dani Cavanaugh, and Kristina Hammel will play in their home game of their careers.
JV improved to 6-1 in league last night with a convincing win over Hart, 63-48. Leading the way for the Lady Vikings was Brittany Jackson (18), Amanda Jenkins and Lauren Beddeo (9). The Lady Vikings converted on 28 of 39 free throws. Next up is West Ranch on Friday night.

Last night Starla Wright came up huge for the Lady Vikings. In her first game back after suffering a concussion, Starla scored 27 points (8th all time in Viking history) as she led the varsity to a 70-57 victory over Canyon.
Lindsey Hill added 16, and Jenny Lentz added 11. The win improved the Vikes to 3-2 in league. On Friday, they travel to face Saugus.
JV suffered their loss in league (4-1) last night as they fell to Canyon 44-41. Both teams battled last night as no team trailed by more than 6 points. Leading the way for the Vikes was Amanda Jenkins with 14. Lauren Beddeo added 9 and Brittany Jackson contributed 8. The Vikes host Saugus on Friday.
Freshman continued their winning ways on Monday as they beat Burroughs in a non-league match-up. They try to improve to 5-0 in league when they host Saugus on Friday.
Congrats to Varsity for winning the High Five Classic and JV for finishing second at the Burroughs tournament.
