Description
This course is a beginning study of the Spanish language and the the various Spanish speaking cultures and countries of the world.  The curriculum stresses reading, writing, speaking and generally communicating in Spanish.
 
The publisher of our textbook, "Desubre"  provides an interactive website called the Supersite, which offers extra audio and written practice for all of the topics we cover in class.  It can be very useful for studying vocabulary and preparing for quizzes or tests.  Each student has his or her own account that was created at the beginning of the year.   • tener, ir, ser, estar (You should know what they mean, how to conjugate them for each of the subjects and be able to use them in a variety of questions and statements.  You should also be able to explain when you would use Ser and when Estar and how the two verbs are different. Use the table of contents (chapters 1-4) to find the concepts and review them.
