text I had my graph here world's recording live guys this is a graph of velocity versus time not displacement versus time it's like you got in your car and your recorded how quickly you were going where's what we've done up to now is we recorded your odometer your location how far you got in your mileage this is not mileage you didn't start off at 1 meter you started off going hit over the light in your time the lights as soon as it turned green you already going you timed it okay and for the first second you sped up you accelerated after one second how fast were you going give me the number for 4 meters of second grade 2 seconds how fast were you going at 3 seconds how fast are you going for is that you kept going to for the entire time until you reach 5 so between what is 1 and 4 how much do you speeding up nothing so the acceleration is zero yeah I'm going to do is make a make a table. I don't think you need to learn a new formula just kind of think about it speaking of formulas remember a formula for displacement s equals please yeah yeah I got it what's take a look please at your first time interval from 0 to 1 seconds we have one half look at a chart acceleration was three yeah and we're talking about just one second and I started off at 1 meter per second if I do the math right here I think that's two and a half two and a half are she blows what are the next time honorable is you guys remember the S is the same thing as Delta X yes is 1/2 a t squared + vit salt behalf of what was my acceleration 0 I love 0 how many seconds was that 1 to 5 would be 4 seconds oh who cares a whole thing just goes bye-bye my favorite number and I'm going at 4 44 seconds yes indeed and then my last one I think of putting green 1/2 acceleration was how much to know that's wrong my average velocity was to is -4/3 and I went from 5 Seconds to 8 so the timer for 3 seconds excellent plus I started out at 4 went for 3 seconds I got actually have to do some out here now let me see 9 I got to pause while I think if I plug it in at 7 works out to be 6 let me try something else with the velocity graph this average thing my average velocity is is right there I could do this slices guy off of here and plug them into here if I did then my graph would look a wee bit different my graphic look like this another words what if I didn't start out from zero and take that long to get up to my average speed what if I just stop inside average speed and just tell the constant what speed would I have to go so I go the same distance that would be whatever my speedwash imagine driving down the road sometimes they go fast as soon as I go slow sometimes I just go to all kinds of crazy speech for whole hour and it was supposed to have for the whole hour at gonce 20 miles how fast would I have to drive put it on cruise control for 1 hour to do the same distance 20 miles an hour right that would be my average speed that's all you brought the saying here as well how high but I have to make it how fast would I have to go in order to go to the same distance to here I'm going really fast
