District Career and College Readiness Courses

Welcome to the Career & College Readiness (CCR) Course Information Page!

The Hart District Career and College Readiness Department offers classes after the regular school day, referred to as Extended Day Learning (EDL) Classes.  These classes are a public education service that provides practical on-the-job training and career guidance to students in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students must be enrolled in a Hart District High School or Hart District sponsored school. Priority enrollment is given to students who have declared a pathway.  The Career and College Readiness department benefits include course offerings in a variety of skilled occupations, unpaid internships, college and A-G Credits for some courses, Certificate of Pathway Completion documenting competencies, and the development of life-long, transferable job-skills. Adults interested in job retraining through the Hart District may enroll in classes through the Golden Oak Adult School program.
