When will I receive my cap and gown?
Students will pick up their cap and gown in May on a date TBD at the VHS stadium during 5th period. They will be worn for the Class of 2019 panorama picture immediately following cap and gown distribution. Every effort should be made to have your gown neatly pressed before it is worn during the ceremony.
When will I receive my tickets?
Tickets to the ceremony will be distributed at the mandatory Practice Ceremony on May 31st. Tickets will only be given to seniors who have cleared all financial obligations. Students are encouraged to verify with the Library and ASB office that they do not owe any debts that would prohibit them from receiving tickets.
How many tickets will I receive?
Each senior will receive ten tickets. Seating at College of the Canyons is very limited. If more than ten tickets are needed, students are encouraged to exchange amongst each other.
How do I request handicapped seating?
If someone in your family needs handicapped seating, please submit a written request to the Assistant Principal's office. One escort will be allowed to accompany each handicapped person in the handicapped seating area. Requests for handicapped seating must be made by 1:30 PM on May 29th. Handicap seating tickets will be given in place of the regular seating tickets.
Where will I be seated during the ceremony?
Seating assignments will be posted in the windows outside the Assistant Principal's office in the week preceding graduation. Please click here for a diagram of the ceremony seating layout.
Where will I pick up my diploma?
Graduates will receive only the cover of their diploma during the ceremony. The actual diploma will be distributed to graduating seniors at the COC concession area immediately following the ceremony. Parents cannot pick up Diplomas and they will not be mailed. If you do not pick up your diploma immediately, diplomas will be available to be picked up at the VHS Administration Office.
